Donations

For fifteen years, The Geek Group has been dedicated to teaching people about science and technology. The goal has always been to operate on a national scale, and create a campus type environment where anyone can come and study just the areas they wish to learn, with all of the resources of a university, but without the restrictions of a typical university environment.

Imagine if you could go to MIT, NASA, or Mythbusters, and just hang out, play with amazing things, explore and learn. You would be able to study the subjects that specifically interest you, on your schedule, for as long as you want.

We now have the opportunity to finally obtain the facility to do this. It is a fourty acre campus, with over a million square feet spread over twenty large buildings.

It is everything we have ever dreamed of. But to get started, we have to raise about $5 million to establish the operations. The company that owns the facility is willing to sell it to us for an amazingly low price (under one million).But to purchase it, we have to raise that first million on our own. To do that, we are enlisting the help of everyone we can, to make very small donations that they can afford. We have the capability to process hundreds of thousands of small donations quickly and easily. With the power of the internet, we can share out concept and videos with the world.

What we need is for every person who possibly can, to share our videos to as many people as they can, and to donate whatever they can. This could be fifty cents, five dollars, a hundred dollars, fifty thousand dollars. Help us make this happen!

We need a lot of help, an army of volunteers and thousands of small donations (and a few big ones too!) for this dream to be a reality.
