The Geek Group wanted a way to secure reliable funding without having to live and die by the grant cycle. Typical fundraising methods in the non-profit sector require months of lead time and have unpredictable results. Funding only comes in sporadically and cannot be predicted to any useable degree. In order to find a more reliable and predictable solution the Group founded a computer shop to raise money through our own hard work. Instead of just hold our hand out and begging, we’re earning our own way with hard work and dedication. We’re providing a valuable service to the community and raising money for our projects and programs on our own. Because of the success of AI we have never had to receive any government funding of any type. Ai has been a resounding success and because of that the majority of our funding comes from our own hard work.
