When it comes to the arts, education, and community enrichment, the heart of philanthropy in Kalamazoo beats within the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation. For more than thirty years the men and women of the Gilmore Foundation have worked to disperse monies for cultural events, human services, and other projects to benefit as many members of the Kalamazoo community as possible.

Thanks to grants from the Gilmore Foundation, The Geek Group has been able to host numerous workshops and classes that cover topics as diverse as aeronautics, exotic animals, high voltage physics, and aromatherapy. In addition to monetary support, the individuals at the Gilmore Foundation have been staunch allies to The Geek Group through counseling, research assistance, and moral support.
